2013 Top YouTube Videos: PSY Tops Music Videos, “The Fox” Leads Trends
YouTube announced its 2013 Top Music Videos as well as its Top Trending Videos which included a bunch of music. While Psy took the top spot with "GENTLEMAN M/V," Miley Cyrus had both the second and third spots cause this really was Miley's year for viral madness. In the top trending category, Ylvis's "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" is the top trending video. However the "Chatroulette Version" of "Wrecking Ball" came in 4th reminding us that, yes, this is Miley Cyrus's year. Deal with it.
YouTube shared the exciting news of who won 2013. But there are no surprises here because who understands humans and what they like? I certainly don't.
But here's what we all created together despite our best intentions:
YouTube Rewind: What Does 2013 Say?
To be honest, I'd forgotten about PSY but he took the lead and we must acknowledge that despite Miley wiping his memory from our minds.

I understand what "top trending" means on a daily or weekly basis but for a whole year? Nothing trends for a whole year so what does that mean?
But according to Hollywood Reporter these are the "top trending music videos and channels gaining the most followers in 2013." That's still confusing but since I didn't get the memo, whatever.
