Meet The New Recording Academy Boss, Same As The Old Boss: Portnow’s Contract Extended To 2019
The music industry's old guard has extended the run of one it's staunchest champions,.Neal Portnow, the president and CEO of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, has had his contract extended through 2019. Portnow, born in 1948, became president of NARAS in 2002. He was formerly a VP at Jive Records.
NARAS overseas the annual Grammy Awards.
