Edjing Raises $2.5M For DJ App
Edjing, the cross platform DJ app, has raised $2.5 million in a round led by Entrepreneur Ventures with participation from Deezer founder, Daniel Marhely, who joins the company's Advisory Board. Edjing claims to already breaking even with this freemium app that only charges for in-app purchase of track and "DJ sound packs".
Edjing is available for iOS, Android, Amazon’s mobile platform and Windows. It sources music from the devices local music library, Soundcloud and Deezer Premium.
The company says it will use the cash for international expansion. Currently 30% of the users are from North America and 20% from Asia, according to TechCrunch.
