Ibiza International Music Summit Brings EDM Business Talks To Hollywood
With EDM action shifting State-side, Pete Tong brings his International Music Summit, held annually in Ibiza, to the W Hotel in Hollywood. The one-day business gathering in LA is dubbed "IMS Engage" and will feature a series of "conversations" between well-known pairs of speakers including some surprising choices.
IMS Engage takes place April 17 to be followed by IMS Ibiza May 22 to 24 in Spain. IMS Engage was preceded by the IMS USA Symposium held at Coachella in 2012.
IMS Ibiza 2013: Beyond The Boom Boom
IMS Engage will feature a "series of un-moderated conversations" between "seven pairs of speakers" including:
Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom and Diplo
Russell Simmons and Patrick Moxey, President of Electronic Music for Sony
SFX Entertainment's Shelly Finkel and Pete Tong
Lady Gaga Manager Troy Carter and Swedish House Mafia Manager Amy Thomson
Beatport CEO Matthew Adell and Computer Scientist Jaron Lanier
Skrillex and Summit Series Co-founder Jeff Rosenthal
IMS partners Pete Tong and Ben Turner will welcome attendees followed by an introduction from Billboard's Bill Werde. Conversations will follow with an official poolside party hosted by The Windish Agency closing out festivities.
