Social Survey: Teens Love Tumblr Even More Than Facebook, Pay Attention To Snapchat

image from icdn7.digitaltrends.comMotivated by a post by Branch co-founder Josh Miller's on how his 15 year old sister uses the Internet, Y Combinator partner Garry Tan used YC startup Survata to survey 1,038 teens in two groups — those aged 13-18 (546 responses) and 19-25 (492 responses) to ask which services they used regularly.  The results show surprising strength for Tumblr, even when compared to Facebook, along with the rapid rise of photo messaging app Snapchat.   1. Tons of people are hopping on the SnapChat train, but how the hell do you derive marketing value from it?
    Honestly looking for suggestions or thoughts anyone might have.

  2. How about using snapchat as a scavenger hunt for companies to run contests. Users will have to be on their toes since the clue will disappear quickly
