BandPage Adds Deeper Partner Integrations & New Usage Stats
BandPage has just announced deeper integrations
with several partners in their new Connect API, as well as new usage numbers for
their platform. Musicians can now update Facebook, Twitter and SoundCloud
profile pictures right from BandPage, plus update their SoundCloud bio. The
company has also announced that 100,000 extensions (widgets connecting
musicians’ Bandpage profiles to their websites and blogs) have been used since
the July launch of BandPage Everywhere plus other numbers.
BandPage launched Connect
a few weeks ago, which allows artists to instantly integrate their BandPage
profile onto several social and music platforms across the web for free,
including initial launch partners WordPress, Guitar Center, Midem Music
Festival, PledgeMusic, Conduit Mobile, Earbits, StoryAmp, Tixie, Music XRay,
Local Music Vibe, WeDemand and The Social Radio.
In the weeks following
the launch, the company reports that several of these partners have been seeing
uplifts in traffic stemming from the implementation. Local services like Local
Music Vibe saw a six-fold increase in worldwide artist signups and a dramatically
increased conversion rate. WordPress alone saw over one million fan
interactions with BandPage Extensions installed across musician WordPress sites
and blogs, including artists like M83 and Taking Back Sunday.
“BandPage Connect and the distribution of our embeddable API
model to third-party developers is simply the next phase of our strategy, and
we will continue to broaden our capabilities as well as our network of
authorized platforms in the weeks and months ahead,” said BandPage Founder and
CEO J Sider.
The BandPage Connect API is open for any and all developers
to sign up and start using right away on the BandPage Developer Portal.
