CMJ Music Marathon Kicks Off This Week In New York City
The 32nd
annual CMJ Music Marathon kicks off today in New York City with over
120,000 fans, entertainment industry professionals, college radio tastemakers,
bloggers, press and musicians set to arrive. The word
“marathon” couldn’t be used more appropriately in this case, as the event
showcases hundreds of up-and-coming artists from all over the world to perform
in NYC over five nonstop days and nights. Not to mention a massive schedule of
daytime panels featuring label executives, producers, digital media
specialists, journalists, musicians, and other industry insiders.
Artists from a multitude of genres were selected among thousands of applicants from 45 worldwide territories to be showcased. Some
notable names include:
