Making New Fans in Unexpected Places

Artists want to make new fans, but it may be hard sometimes especially if you only focus on people that like your genre. If you look in different areas, you may be able to connect with new fans. On Music Think Tank, Simon Tam encourages musicians to reach fans with similar personalities or interests as the band members. How have you reached new fans?
