Spotify Releases “Faster, Slicker, Better” Google Android App
Spotify has given it's Android app a complete top-to-bottom redesign and the music streamer is calling it their best mobile app yet. "We’ve rebuilt it from top to bottom, making it faster, slicker and much better looking,” says Gustav Södertröm, VP Products at Spotify.
Available now on Google Play, features include:
- Full support for Android 4.0
- Slide-out navigation
- Crossfade/gapless playback settings
- Widget – control Spotify from the home screen
- Playlist folder support
- More social – check out friends’ profile pages and playlists on the go
- Artist imagery in high resolution
- Related artist view – available for the first time on Spotify mobile
- 320kbps listening available
- A play queue
- Last.fm scrobbling

Latest updates finally fix lots of issues and a long neglected app is finally become usable again.
