Don’t Believe RIAA File-Sharing Stats? Take Pirate Bay’s Official Survey Today
The Pirate Bay has renamed itself The Research Bay for today to publicize survey it's conducting with the Cybernorms research group at Lund University. The short survey will be used to measure people’s file-sharing habits and their views on copyright enforcement, and the results will be sued as a counter-weight to the surveys often touted by the RIAA, MPAA and others.
“This research is first of all aiming at creating a better base of knowledge for policy makers. Without adequate information it is impossible to adapt the legal systems in a legitimate way,” Måns Svensson, PhD in Sociology of Law at Lund and study manager told TorrentFreak.
