uWall.tv Offers Alternate View Of Music on YouTube
uWall.tv starts off with a splash featuring a home page composed of thumbnails of stars with popular music videos. The site has a variety of avenues for discovering new music or old favorites but is essentially an alternative user interface for YouTube focused on music. Which might be just the thing for some video viewers.
uWall.tv isn't one of the more radical entries in the realm of music sites powered by YouTube and similar free-to-stream audio and video services. But it does present another way to access music videos from YouTube in an interface that you might find enjoyable.
uWall.tv Home Page
In addition to the superstar homepage, the primary music discovery mechanisms on uWall.tv are genre lists and user playlists which are organized by genre. Time periods also tend to be a sorting option.
The social network component seems a bit low key but opens up avenues for music discovery and also for music promotion via playlists. It's hard to tell if the site is simply not very active or if there's enough of a base of users that it would be worth establishing an active presence for marketing music.
But it might be just fine for casual video surfers and it includes a handy search box if you know what you're looking for.
