How To Get A Booking Agent To Book Your Band
Finding venues to perform and scheduling performances can be tedious. On Music Think Tank, Dave Cool has a simple answer to people looking for a professional booking agent. He states that,
“By far the best way to get a professional booking agent is for bands to book themselves until the point where they are selling out shows on a regular basis on their own.”
This is easier said than done. He gives advice on building up your career to get to that point where an agent may be interested in working with you.
Dave “No Shit, Sherlock” Cool. Seriously, is this guy paid for writing non-articles?
Agents don’t take 15%, they take 10%. Managers take 15%.

and its this mentality that screws over every-band when it comes down to getting screwed by bar owners…..whats that old saying?the worse vice is advice…..
