Pandora Subpoenaed In Federal Grand Jury Mobile Apps Investigation

As part of filings with the Security And Exchange Commission for its upcoming IPO, Pandora revealed that early in 2011 it had received a subpoena from a federal grand jury investigation related to information sharing on its Apple and Android mobile applications. In the filing, Pandora said it had been informed that it was "not a specific target of the investigation" and that they believed that similar subpoenas had been issued "on an industry-wide basis to the publishers of numerous other smartphone applications."
