#MIDEM Deals: musiXmatch Scores Big, IODA Launches In Africa with Sony, HFA + Cooking Vinyl

• musiXmatch, a provider of digital lyrics solutions, this morning announced major partnerships with BMG, Kobalt, Universal Music Publishing Group, and Sony ATV Music, giving them what they say is the largest authorized lyrics database in the world. The musiXmatch commercial beta enables online music services to increase user engagement and SEO traffic using lyrics.

• The Independent Online Distribution Alliance, (IODA)  launch of IODA Africa at MIDEM, which it says if the first global digital music distribution network in Sub-Saharan Africa, in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment.
• Harry Fox Agency, Inc. (HFA), announced a new Administration Services arrangement with UK-based indie label Cooking Vinyl  Under the deal, which was completed at this year's Midem, HFA will provide Cooking Vinyl with end-to-end licensing, reporting, and royalty calculation and distributions services.
