Turn YouTube Into Pandora With ViddyJam
If you've ever desired a Pandora like experience on YouTube, ViddyJam delivers. It's not perfect, but does exactly what it aspires to. Plug an artist in the site, it pulls from data from Last.fm and charts out a path of similar music videos. Given the surplus of videos on YouTube, the quality isn't always there, but when the site gets it right, it nails it.
Once you've started your station, the interface disappears completely. Since the site is a pet project, there are only YouTube ads. The result is a fun, easy-to-use, video player. One day, maybe we'll see YouTube or Vevo more aggressivly pursue a video recommendation engine feature. Until then, there's ViddyJam.
Haha, too little too late. This is why you need to look at developers for the future… This was done ages ago by a friend of mine here: http://tv.timbormans.com/
Is this supposed to be cutting edge news?
Hi check the site out and it was made in 2007 and it seems like it does a better job of pulling data from last.fm than viddyjam.
