“Indie Doesn’t Mean Anything… Because It Won”

Indie

"Indie doesn’t mean anything anymore.

It’s dead. Which is OK, because it won.

Open source, Twitter. Indie won. Etsy. The irresistible decline of major labels and network TV and corporate publishing.

Indie won."

  1. Eh, don’t know about “won.” It’s a gift and a curse. There’s bad sides to this indie thing, too. The easy access to all these DIY tools has led to an overabundance of “bands”/”rappers”/”artists” out there. It’s becoming cliche to be one of those. At least with the major labels, there was some sort of filtering (even if what came through could be bad as well).
