Is Beyonce Really Helping The Hungry Or Herself?
Not that I'm complaining, but I don't get many "celebrity" press releases for Hypebot. So an email subject line that shouted "BEYONCE PHOTO FROM FEEDING AMERICA PRESS CONFERENCE" caught my eye.
Beyonce is using her well earned fame to help feed the homeless. Along with General Mills’ Hamburger Helper and non-profit Feeding America more than 3.5 million meals will be delivered to local food banks through the Show Your Helping Hand campaign.The only problem is that sponsor Hamburger Helper is exactly the kind of food poorer American's should not be eating. In fact, it could be killing them.
The number one ingrediant iI Hamburger Helper is bleached duram flower that has has all the nutitional value milled out of it to increase self life. A bit further down the list past some ingrediants one can't find in any dictionary is hydrogenated soybean oil. Partially hydrogenated soybean oil is proven to clog your arteries and cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of both women and men. 80% of it preventable, but not if you eat enough Hamburger Helper.
A little further down is corn syrup; as in sugar. Why a sweetener io Hamburger Helper? Sugar keeps you craving food, which keeps you buying more. Ask MacDonals who even adds it to their french fries. The point is that Hamburger Helper has virtually no nutritional value not to mention 13 to 17 grams of fat per serving.
You and I might ask those questions… but let’s be honest, most people don’t know or don’t care to look at nutritional labels.
But to also be fair, they are running a food drive at each of her shows, so hopefully the non-perishable food that people will be donating will be of much better nutritional value.
Otherwise, it’s a populist move that keeps a nice sheen on her wholesome, girl next door image. Most people will applaud this great initiative without much further thought and move back to following the Perez Hilton bitch-slap story.

That said, it would be nice if she promoted healthier eating…I’m pretty sure she’s not on the hamburger helper diet.
It seems suspicious to me after she was named one of the world’s most powerful celebrities all of a sudden she wants to help feed the homeless,she never did anything to help the world idk why she was named one of,Angelina and Oprah deserve it Beyonce could care less about the less fortunate…I’m sure she picked the charity that would give her the most $$$ to show up for photo ops for a charity,so fake…
