Midem News & Deals: PIAS, Digit, IODA, 7Digital

  Indie Mobile, the mobile marketing and distribution agency of the [PIAS] Entertainment Group, have just signed a deal with US mobile content and widget specialist Dijit to be their exclusive European distribution partner. Dijit’s widget allows labels and artists to sell direct to their fan base via their MySpace and Facebook sites without the need to set up web shops.
• IODA added labels Som Livre, Munich Records, Scorpio and the Caribbean Music Group for digital distribution for their releases. 
• 
  Despite recession download retailer 7Digtial sees sales jump:
  • Sales increased 260% during Q4 of 2008 driven by the availability of MP3 downloads
  • Digital album sales have also increased and are expected to overtake single download revenue during 2009
  • 7digital is now launching new services across Europe in Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
