EMI Publishing Shuffles Executive Deck

EMI Music Publishing has named Big Jon Platt as President of West Coast Creative. He will also continue to head EMI Publishing’s Urban Music department. Platt’s iuband signings include Jay-Z, Kanye West, Usher, Beyoncé, Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Mr. Collipark, Rich Harrison, Harold Lilly and Damon Thomas.

As part of the restructuring, Dan McCarroll has been promoted to Executive Vice President of East Coast Creative.  EMI Publishing has also formed a North American Songwriter Leadership Council to coordinate its global efforts.

Joining Platt and McCarroll on the Leadership Council will be the
Council’s co-chairs, CEO Faxon and World Wide Executive Vice President
Leo Corbett, as well as Gary Overton (head of the company’s
Nashville Office), Michael McCarty (President of EMI MP Canada) and
Nestor Casonu (Managaing Director of EMI Music Publishing’s Latin
division).
