This Week’s IndieStore Picks
UK based IndieStore (owned and operated by 7 Digital) offers a simple and inexpensive way for independent artists to make music available for download, connect with fans and keep most of the revenue. The result is a treasure-trove of great undiscovered music and with IndieStore’s help we’ll be featuring a few each week on Hypebot:
Leno Goldstein ‘Up The Wall’ – We can’t stop listening to the gob-smacking ‘Up The Wall’ by these self-proclaimed ferocious pop dandies. Want a peg to hang it on? Kinda John Lydon fronts Roxy Music. Should be adored in much the same way The Libertines were. Superb.
The Vimpto Kid ‘Soma Line’ – No information other than the four uploaded tracks. No picture, no nothing. But what a find. Gentle song writing serving up thrumming acoustic loviness… a hint of I Am Kloot perhaps? Have a listen. Music to plain take your breath away.
Delia Spiers ‘Ravens Bay’ – Just the one track on her indiestore, but what a track. And what a voice rich, warm and individual, we’re liking Delia’s nu-folk as we think we’re about to start calling it.. More music on your indiestore please young lady.
