Music Magazine Relix To Publish Unique Digital Editions
Live music magazine Relix and sister world music publication Global Rhythm have announced that beginning with their November issues, they will publish both in digital and print formats. With Zendition, a software created by the publisher, the digital issues are designed to capture the magazine reading experience while incorporating hotlinks within content and for advertisers as well as music streams.
The digital versions will initially be available to print subscribers free of charge. Past issues are currently available at www.relix.com/digital. Zendition will also be licensed to other publications. "In order to satisfy our needs we determined early on that we’d have to create our own software," said Steve Bernstein, publisher and owner of Relix. "We wanted to ensure that this went beyond simply putting the magazine online and added value to both our readers and advertisers. The reaction from other magazines has been incredible and we will be launching digital versions of other publications in the near future."
