– Apple is announcing new products today which according to rumors include upgraded players and a movie download service. (AFP) Some see Apple developing a link between the iPod and TV which would allow downloaded films and video to be enjoyed on larger screens. (TechWeb) Engadget has the latest list of rumors and probably will have the best coverage of the announcement along with Gizmodo.
– The RIAA is resisting court efforts to have the labels share how they use P2P technology in their daily business (sending tracks to radio, for example) even as they maintain that the technology is evil. (Techdirt)

– Digital Music Group, a content owner and distributor of digital music and videos has acquired San Francisco-based Digital Rights Agency, another digital music distributor focused on independent record labels.
