Lily Allen was discovered on MySpace? I’d read that Hollywood Reporter article if the site wasn’t currently down, but that seems like a big stretch of the truth. She has been big on the Internet for quite a while, and just released an album on EMI/Parlophone. She’s had the kind of press that comes with an artist who has hired a publicist. People on both sides of the Atlantic don’t just hype up too many DIY artists. I’m not saying she had a publicist, but it would make sense.
