This Friday Call The RIAA And Give ‘Em A Piece Of Your Mind

The creative folks over at DefectiveByDesign.org who have been known to picket Apple stores dressed in yellow hazmat suits are taking their anti-DRM fight to another level:

"On Friday, June 23rd, we will coordinate a day of action, and this time it doesn’t involve yellow hazmat suits. You don’t even have to leave your desk. We will provide contact numbers for executives at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and similar organizations around the world. We’re asking you to proclaim your support for digital freedoms by calling the RIAA and telling them what you think of DRM and what you think of them!"

It was never our intention to turn Hypebot into a one stop shop for protest information in the fight against internet freedom, stupid RIAA lawsuits against individuals, restrictive DRM or net neutrality.  But these issues are not only effecting each of us as consumers but they are also stunting the growth of the new music industry.
