– The Warner Music Group public relations juggernaut continues with a Newsweek piece ("Edgar And The Indies") that makes it look like Warner owned ADA is re-inventing the indie music distribution. "Thanks to an aggressive distribution strategy, Warner Music dominates the hottest segment of the industry." …Or may they just got lucky making a deal with Domino and The Arctic Monkeys. (Newsweek)
– Creative has sued Apple over a design it says it created first for it’s Zen portable music player. (Digital Music News)
– David Bowie has signed on to curate the inaugural High Line Festival, a concert series to be held next May in New York. As part of the programming, Bowie will play with select musicians throughout the festival. The concerts will take place in neighborhoods underneath the High Line, a public park being created atop a long-abandoned elevated railway line on Manhattan’s west side, according to Billboard.
