No More “Free Ride” For Music As States Begin Taxing Downloads

The days of tax free music at iTunes and other download outlets may be numbered.  cNet’s News.com reports that 15 states and the District of Columbia currently tax downloads. Interestingly the music industry bases of New York, California and Tennessee are not among them, but many more states are expected to follow suit soon.
