Sprint Says 1 Million Songs Downloaded To Cells Since Late October Launch
Sprint Nextel says that customers of its Music Store have downloaded 1 million songs since it opened in late October. While the numbers may pale in comparison to iTunes, this hints at a much larger potential market. The Sprint library is only 320,000 songs and customers must pay $2.50 for two copies of each tune -one for the phone and one to be played on a home computer. Verizon has launched a similar service but has not released sales figures.
