Lack May Still Head SonyBMG In Reduced Role
Proving the insider odds makers wrong, Sony BMG head Andy Lack may keep his job after all. The LA Times is reporting that CEO Andrew Lack may become Sony BMG’s non-executive chairman and current Chairman Rolf Schmidt-Holtz would assume the CEO post.
The role swap would calm a struggle between German media firm Bertelsmann and Japanese electronics giant Sony over the leadership of Sony BMG which was formed as a joint venture in 2004. Still unresolved according to the LA Times are Lack’s responsibilities and who will become chief operating officer who handles the company’s day-to-day operations.
