Rolling Stone, Spin & Blender Beware! PlayMusicMagazine Delivers Online

We’re always writing about how new media is kicking old media’s butt. But let’s face it, reading a long magazine article on the web is just not much fun.  No matter how many cool graphics and links they add most web publishers have not found a way to hold reader interest for more than a paragraph.

Enter Magwork, publishers of three online magazines including PlayMusicMagazine (you knew we’d get to music sooner or later), art and design magazine Encore, and gaming title Probe. The layouts are magazine like complete with turning pages and use nifty flash graphics, interesting pop-ups, music, and more to hold your interest.  Typed words can’t quite do these web magazines justice, but suffice it to say that they leaves us hopeful that the next generation of music journalism can be a major avenue of music discovery.
