Music Takes Center Stage At CES

If you (like us) are one  of those freaks that has to know about stuff before anyone else (particular if it’s cool stuff), then you wish (like we do) that you were at the Consumer Electronic Show in Vegas right now.

Microsoft_6A whole lot of cool music stuff is being unveiled there including portable players, satellite radio receivers, cellphones that stream and store songs, and lots of music related initiatives.  Music took center stage yesterday during Bill Gate’s keynote as the Microsoft exec touted the Urge music download service, their new partnership with the MTV Networks,

The next best thing to being at CES seems to be following the minute  by minute coverage on the gadget blogs with Engadget seeming to provide the most complete coverage and Gizmodo not far behind.

I was checking out before the show, this is not exactly this convention, not exactly a magnet for the ladies. I think I saw more women at Elton John’s bachelor party, to be honest.
