Industry Focus Shifts To MacWorld And Jobs Keynote At 9AM PST Today.
Last week the big digital news was coming from Las Vegas and the Consumer Electronics Show. Starting today the focus shifts to San Francisco and the MacWorld Convention.
Steve Job’s keynote as is anticipated by techies as much as sports fans love the Super Bowl; so rumors are flying about what the big announcements will be. Speculation is slim on the music side with some changes likely to the iPod line particularly at the low end and perhaps some software upgrades. Song pricing flexibility is rumored, but that may be wishful thinking. It is almost certain that we can expect more big video/tv/film announcements for the iTunes store.
Engadget, flush with cash from an AOL buyout, will probably have the best live coverage of the Jobs keynote which start at 9AM PST. We’ll post our comments and reactions later today, but we’d love to hear from you too.
