TikTok refreshes Desktop App in challenge to YouTube
The new web-based TikTok.com app brings popular in-app functionalities to the web. Updates and new features include a modular layout, a new Explore tab, immersive full-screen live gaming, a refreshed For You feed and a Floating Player.
Now available globally, highlights include:
- Immersive Modular Design: Discover content through an optimized modular layout that features a repositioned navigation bar and reduces distractions offering a more immersive viewing experience and seamless feed exploration.
- LIVE Gaming Streaming: Go LIVE in portrait or landscape mode, delivering a full-screen horizontal view for desktop users, while mobile users can simply rotate their devices to enjoy an equally dynamic viewing experience.
- Web-Exclusive Floating Player: Available exclusively on desktop via Google Chrome, this flexible floating window keeps TikTok visible above other windows, allowing you to multitask without missing out on your favorite content.
- New Collections Feature: Organize your favorite videos into custom categories, making it easier to find and revisit saved content.
