Get free alerts when your track is added to a Spotify playlist
The always forward-thinking Kieron Donoghue of indie Humble Angel Records has launched a free Playlist Alert app that monitors chosen songs and notifies when they are added to official Spotify playlists.
In addition, users can track the progress of a song to see if it has moved up or down in a playlist – a key indicator of how well the song is reacting.
As well as official Spotify playlists, the app also monitors Spotify’s Viral 50 and Top 50 Country Charts from around the world.
Once downloaded, users sign up within the app, but must wait for approval. Apple Watch integration is built-in.
Kieron Donoghue has been in the music/tech space since 2009 when he built Playlist.net, the very first platform in Spotify’s ecosystem.
Next, he built the playlist brand Topsify which he sold to Warner Music in 2014. After three years at Warner Music as VP of Global Playlist Strategy & Curation. he left to launch an independent record label, Humble Angel.
