Garth Brooks To Play Tour Of 7 Dive Bars
Country superstar Garth Brooks can fill big arenas, but Sunday he announced a 7 city tour of nightclubs to promote “Dive Bar,” his new single with Blake Shelton. Coinciding with National Dive Bar Day, the singer unveiled plans for the tour during a special edition of his live online show Inside Studio G.
Though Brooks only revealed that the tour is scheduled to kick off July 15 in Chicago, he encouraged fans to turn to their local country radio stations to find out which other cities and dive bars will be a part of the tour.
“Dive Bar” debuted at No. 15 on Billboard Country Airplay chart, making it Brooks’ second-highest-starting song among his 90 Country Airplay entries.
Shelton will join Brooks at Boise, Idaho’s Albertson Stadium July 19 to perform the duet together. The show is part of Brooks’ three-year stadium tour that has already broken attendance records in several cities, including Denver, St. Louis and Minneapolis.
“Dive Bar,” which has up to this point only been available at radio, will begin streaming on Amazon on Amazon Prime Day, July 15.
