Ziggy Marley Fulfills Father’s Dream And Gives CD Exclusive To Target?

In an usual hook-up the new Ziggy Marley CD will only be available at US retail via the Target discount chain.

It’s an interesting play for Target who consistently finds ways to enhance it’s image with hip alliances.  The choice is less obvious for Marley. But in a recent Billboard.com interview he said,"This is the best time, in terms of owning your own masters. This was a dream of my father (the late Bob Marley). I’m actually fulfilling what he wanted. Right now, I feel like I’m doing for him what he wanted to do. After ‘Uprising,’ his last album for Island Records (in 1980), he was going to do his own thing."
