Experimental Music Finds Home @ Edgetone

The net has opened our ears to a multitude musical niches and at the same time provided opportunities for entrepreneurs willing to help bring them to a wider audience. WIRED takes a look Rent Romus, the experimental music on his Edgetone Records and last weekend’s Edgetone Music Summit in San Francisco:

"(The music is) without the confines of structure," according to Romus  "There is no right or wrong way to do anything.  What (the performers) say is, "You know what, there are no rules and if you don’t like it, great, say you don’t like it, but show some response.’"

(The performers are) "masters of ‘inter-media.’ Their music incorporates spoken word, video, field recordings, movement and instruments."
