Live Nation Posts 3rd Quarter Loss

Livenation221205_13Live Nation has posted a loss for the concert heavy third quarter much to the surprise of analysts.

Much of the loss came from re-valuation of some properties. The net loss of $9.1 million, or 14 cents a share contrasted with a profit of $26.1 million last year. Sales rose 36% to $1.35 billion. Just ahead is the cost of the House of Blues purchase and integration during a usually slower concert income season.
