Indie Band Applies For Stimulus Funds
Indie rock band Officer Roseland is in the preliminary stages of seeking a Federal Government Bailout after paying fans to download their latest album "Stimulus Package". Tongue planted firmly in cheek, the band says that "after receiving an overwhelming response" to their album release via MyStimulusPackage.org, the band was unable to keep up with the payments promised for downloading the album.
A Hypebot post about the band's original "pay fans to download" release campaign garnered strong positive and negative reactions. Does the band's new stunt go too far or simply continue the fun generated by the initial campaign?
