Sirius XM Radio Now Has 19.5 Million Suscribers
Sirius XM Radio has now broken the 19.5 million subscribers mark. This makes sense. Well, sort of; it would make sense to my father. He and I recently got back from a 3,000 mile road trip, spending near entire days in the car, and since he can only tolerate so much of my music, we listened to lots of radio. After awhile, losing stations every 30 minutes can get frustrating, let alone the stretches where no reception, from any station was available. It got to the point where he remarked, that he now understood why people buy satellite radio.
In addition, Sirius announced that they expect to finish 2010 with 1.1 million net subscriber adds. In the first half of this year, they added 755,000 net subscribers compared to a net loss of 590,000 net subscribers in the first half of 2009. Like I said, this would make sense to him, but perhaps, not to me.
