#NMS – The 2010 New York City edition of the New Music Seminar wrapped up with a part last night; and by all measures, the sold out event was a huge success. Congratulations to Tom Silverman and Dave Lory for another amazing event. A few highlights from yesterday:

    Verge/Reflection Award Grand Prize Winner presented by Mountain Dew and
    Doritos and powered by OurStage. Hotspur is a rock/pop band from
    Maryland who headlines shows across the Northeast and were bestowed by
    MTV as "Buzzworthy."
  • Pandora announced that 60 million people
    have registered as listeners.
  • Little Steven: "People think DIY means DIY all your life.That's not true. You gradually need to build an army."
  • @MicControl: Tip for musicians: Do a
    google search of a song title before you release the song. Know your
    competition. How findable is your song?
