Think Music Has Piracy Problems? Check Out This 100% Fake Apple Store In China

image from i.huffpost.com The music industry likes to blame piracy for its downfall. But other industries including one of the world's hottest and most profitable companies, Apple, has a huge piracy problem too. Its not just a few knock-off computers., but rather an entire fake Apple store. In fact, there appear to be several of them.

"They looked like Apple products. It looked like an Apple store," wrote blogger BirdAboard in the southwestern Chinese city of Kunming, in Yunnan province. "It had the classic Apple store winding staircase and weird upstairs sitting area. The employees were even wearing those blue image from i.huffpost.com t-shirts with the chunky Apple name tags around their necks…this is a near-perfect ripoff". Even the employees think they work for Apple.

There were some clues that it wasn't really an official Apple store including chipping paint and the official Apple store listings that includes only 4 stores in China – two in Beijing and two in Shanghai. More photos here.

  1. Yet we still do business with this country? C’mon man, if they know this is illegal and yet still the government allows it, what does that say about our business policies with them?
I know and you should too, know that countries are the Biggest businesses in the world right along side of the pharmaceutical business.
Almost everything here says made in China, but we still keep on going business as usual.
I just hope they are not doing the same to the music Industry.
