WMG CEO Edgar Bronfman, Jr., has become Chairman of the company's Board of Directors and Stephen F. Cooper, who had been serving as Chairman, has swaped jobs to become CEO. Bronfman will reportedly focus on long term strategy while Cooper will be responsible for day-to-day operations. Cooper will also continue to serve on the company’s Board of Directors.
There was no promotion today of Lyor Cohen, Chairman and CEO, Recorded Music or Cameron Strang, Chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell Music. But both keep their jobs and will report directly to Cooper.
