Grouptune Offers Christian Music Deals & Opportunities For Indie Artists
Grouptune is a deals site for Christian music that launched in May joining the ranks of web deal sites centered on music. Grouptune offers exclusive deals, whenever possible, and serves as a marketing platform for free releases. Best of all, they are open to contact from indie artists.
I spoke with Grouptune Founder/CEO Matt Shamus who revealed that this offshoot of DiscRevolt, where Shamus is also VP, is being grown slowly and deliberately.
Grouptune's focus on Christian music came about, in part, through relations built servicing that market through DiscRevolt. At this stage, Grouptune is building on those relationships while reaching close to 10,000 subscribers. Further growth is fueled by social networking.
The site is well-designed with a focus on the deals, often 50% off an album with periodic free singles. A Facebook app and site widgets are also available for each artist.
Shamus says that Grouptune will consider adding country music but is primarily focused on the Christian music space.
Grouptune is working with both labels and indie artists and can be contacted here with information about your music and social media presence.
