Is this thing on?
Watching the F8 pre-show now. Anticipation builds
they are launching a new music system with a completely utterly awful song on about a 2 min loop – ominous 😉
Your audio will be assimilated!
Keynote delayed for 15 minutes.
Looks like a total overhaul of Facebook.
I like it. Haven’t watched a video so closely in while 🙂 Lots of new musical opportunities coming.
Media discovery and sales are a big theme.
They seem to be cementing their relevancy. Who is going to want to leave fb and lose record of their entire life. Amazing.
I agree with Kevin — they’re creating a strong reason to never leave, and to stay there for your online social activity
Digital panel is streaming on the main Live channel.
By not trying to do everything themselves, Facebook has brought on board an incredible array of music partners and services that can evolve quickly with the marketplace. Very smart.
I agree and mentioned something similar over on the keynote post. It’s much smarter than trying to do a music service of their own. In addition, all those partners will now be helping them build rather than viewing FB as competition.
Does anyone know how they are planning on controlling copyright? Ownership has always an issue with Facebook until they received so much criticisim that they were forced to respond by introducing ‘ tick the boxes’ – I wonder how they are going to handle this? Ultimately as with Facebook advertising they will want to make money from music. I can see less and less going to the musician, Facebook making more and more money from advertising, users become overwhelmed by the amount of stimulation onsite, and messages becoming more and more diluted because of the saturation of content.
se están poniendo en marcha un sistema de nueva música con una canción completamente completamente horrible en alrededor de un lazo de 2 minutos – ominosa.
