Taio Cruz Facebook Fans Join The Hangover Party With Help From Momentus Media
Infographics are quite popular these days and Momentus Media launched an infographic creation tool Monday to help Taoi Cruz fans share the fun of his new single "Hangover" featuring Flo Rida. The aptly named "Hangover Chronicles" is a Facebook app that analyzes fan accounts and then reveals info about their party habits. Sure, it's a bit lightweight but, then again, this is pop music! DETAILS & VIDEO:
Taio Cruz – Hangover ft. Flo Rida
Taio Cruz' single "Hangover", off the upcoming album "TY.O", features Flo Rida with production by Dr. Luke. Though it hasn't been dominating the charts and its theme of wild partying and the morning after isn't especially new, the video has millions of views and it's all in good fun.
To keep the party going, Momentus Media has created a Hangover Chronicle Facebook app that employs what they call their "Party Pic/Word Detection Algorithm" to create an infographic featuring fans' "craziest party pic, number count of party words, most party wall post, and…wingman or woman." You can see an example here.
According to Momentus Media, the app went live on Monday and will be available for the next 6 to 12 months. The basic idea is to create media that fans will share on their Facebook accounts and to encourage viral behavior.
For The Black Eyed Peas, Momentus Media designed an "8-Bit Your Profile Pic" FB app "allowing users to create their own Facebook avatars in The Black Eyed Peas 8-Bit style. Interscope featured fan’s 8-Bit pics on their wall, further driving fan engagement and momentum around the app." This app was exceptionally popular with:
2 million users in 3 weeks
1 million 8-Bit profile pics uploaded to Facebook
400,000 Likes generated in 2 weeks
They also created an FB infographic app based on LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" that "pulled out party photos and ranked users by worldwide and hometown partier rank."
Momentus Media is sharing their wealth of Facebook knowledge with an Engagement & Interaction White Paper as well as a Facebook Page Grader.
