With all the gloom surrounding the music industry, many feel like the music business is dying. However, on Music Think Tank, Bobby Owsinski says it isn’t as bad as people think. Companies like Nielsen have been releasing their 2011 sales figures for music that help define the current state of the music industry.
“US album sales were up 1.3% last year, the first year since 2005 that’s happened. 66% of these sales were CDs.”
