CMA & IEBA Team For SRO Touring Industry Awards
CMA and IEBA are teaming up for the 2012 CMA SRO Awards to be held at The 42nd Annual IEBA Conference Oct. 7-9 in Nashville. The SRO (standing room only) awards were originally created by CMA in 1990 to recognize outstanding professional achievement in the live touring industry. Ten SRO Awards were presented at in the first year and swelled to 19 before the last were handed out at SRO ’97.
Last year, the Touring Musician of the Year Award was once again presented, with 13 additional categories returning this year. Finalists for this year's awards were announced in May. Voting in the final round is complete and winners in each of the categories will be announced in September.
In addition to the CMA SRO Awards, the IEBA Industry Awards and Hall of Fame will be presented. Categories for this year's event include: Fair Buyer of the Year, Festival Buyer of the Year, Club Buyer of the Year, College Buyer of the Year, Corporate Buyer of the Year, Casino Buyer of the Year, Emerging Talent Agent of the Year, Venue Executive of the Year, Special Honors, and the Hall of Fame Induction.
The awards show will take place at a Gala dinner on October 9th, on the final day of the IEBA conference. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
