Music Tech Startup News & Debuts: ShoMoLive, MyMusic, BAMM.tv, Wavo

New music tech startups appear on a regular basis, some as individual products and others as full blown platforms. ShoMoLive is crowdfunding their gig booking tool. MyMusic just launched featuring social music media curation. BAMM.tv debuted a virtual venue iPad app while Wavo offers a stylish web venue for music sharing.

ShoMoLive Crowdfunds Band Business Tool

ShoMoLive is crowdfunding a web platform for booking and promoting shows while staying organized:

"The goal is to streamline the process of discovery, communication, and ultimately booking and promoting shows, while allowing users to efficiently manage their busy schedules, all on one single platform."

MyMusic Launches

MyMusic is a newly launched "online destination for all things music" according to a company announcement. Organized around the concept of social digital magazines, users can gather and share music-related content.

Check the home page for examples of "Featured Magazines" though more seems possible given that "people can search for their favorite artist, listen to music, watch videos, purchase concert tickets and digital music, explore the latest news, read an artist’s tweets and more."

BAMM.tv Debuts iPad App

This week BAMM.tv announced the launch of their new iPad app during the SF MusicTech Summit:

"BAMM.tv’s app consists of a virtual live music venue through which music fans can wander. To discover new artists, all they have to do is to walk into the virtual Auditorium, click on the boom-box or press the TV button to play HD performance videos."

Indie music is the order of the day and BAMM.tv is worth checking out for indie artists beyond the app.

Wavo for Stylish Music Sharing

Wavo relaunched earlier this year as a stylish social network for sharing music. Music sources feature YouTube and SoundCloud, a popular solution to the difficulties of licensing.
