Amazon Extends AutoRip To Vinyl: 2 Copies Of Any Album For Price Of 1
Amazon announced today that it is extending it's free CD AutoRip service to vinyl. The program automatically gives customers a free mp3 copy of any physilcal product they've have bought on the site in the last 15 years.
Starting today, when customers purchase an AutoRip vinyl record or CD a digital copy of that music will be automatically added to their Cloud Player libraries where it will be available, free of charge, for immediate playback or download. CD's and vinyl bought since Amazon launched in 1998 will also be automatically added.
“AutoRip has been wildly popular with customers since it launched earlier this year,” said Steve Boom, VP of Digital Music for Amazon. “It’s a fun experience to suddenly find CDs you purchased just today—or 15 years ago—added automatically and free of charge to your digital library.
