Microsoft’s XBox Music Goes Freemium, Adds iOS and Android Apps
Microsoft is expanding the reach of it's subscription streaming service XBox Music to include a free ad-supported web player and it's first ever apps for Googles' Android and Apple's iOS platforms. The free web service is launching with no listening limitations and access to 30 million songs.
To use the new apps users must subscribe to an XBox Music Pass for $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year
"Xbox Music now, more than ever, powers music experiences between Windows 8, Xbox, Windows Phone, and now iOS, Android and the Web," Xbox General Manager Jerry Johnson said in a statement.
